Nach dem stimmungsvollen Start im Herzen von Thusis folgt ein relativ einfacher und darum ziemlich schneller Abschnitt durch die Talsohle des Domleschgs im Frühlingskleid. Hier sind Rollerqualitäten gefragt. Nach Rothenbrunnen bei km 13, geht es am Anstieg nach Ravetg auf den Polenweg erstmals richtig zur Sache. Nach dem Herzstück der Frühlingslaufstrecke biegt man links ab in Richtung «Schafweide» und zum Ziel beim Schloss Reichenau.
