The Mountainrun Grindelwald is a unique mountain run in a breathtaking mountain scenery. With the Eiger, Mettenberg and Wetterhorn behind you, it goes from 1045 meters above sea level up to 2155 meters. The first 500 meters run through the village, then the climb begins. After about 2km and almost 250 meters of altitude difference the EKI Sprint is waiting for the runners. There is a winner's check worth CHF 200 for the fastest man and woman to win. At KM 4 a snack is waiting for the runners at Bort. After the refreshment follows the crispy ascent to the Waldspitz. On just under 1 kilometer the runners cope with 300 meters of altitude. At the end, the Yellow Fountain awaits as a bouquet until you reach the First mountain station at around 2155 meters above sea level and cross the finish line.
