The first 3 km of both marathon and half marathon have been finetuned to improve running comfort. Among other things, you run along the beautiful Coupure. The passage through the historic centre of Ghent along the famous Sint-Michielsbrug was retained in its entirety. After the first 8 km through the city centre, you run along the Ottergemsesteenweg and the UZ Gent to the Ghelamco Arena. This choice was also made because of increased running comfort. The remainder of the course is identical to that of 2022.
