Sightseeing im Laufschritt. Barock und Natur, soweit die Füße Euch tragen. Highlights sind die historische Altstadt mit ihren bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten und die Neustadt, das bekannte Kneipen- und Gründerzeitviertel. Die flache schnelle Strecke führt Euch weiter durch den illuminierten Waldschlößchentunnel und über die gleichnamige Brücke. Nach dem Großen Garten geht es dann zurück ins Stadtzentrum mit seinen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die zweite Runde, die sich zur Hälfte von der ersten unterscheidet, beinhaltet zusätzlich eine Schleife durch den Stadtteil Blasewitz mit einem herrlichen Blick auf die Schlösser am Loschwitzer Elbhang. Über 300 Musiker mit zahlreichen Bands machen für Euch Stimmung, ehe ihr am MARITIM HOTEL unter dem Beifall zahlreicher Zuschauer in das große Marathon-Ziel einlauft.

Full enjoyment in half the distance. At the DRESDEN MARATHON, you’ll start with the marathon runners and relay teams. Get ready to experience a one-of-a-kind city tour! The route takes you through the pub-filled new town (one of Europe’s largest Gründerzeit-style quarters), over the Waldschlößchen bridge to the Grand Garden, and back to the historic city center filled with famous landmarks. At the "Italian Village" you’ll bid farewell to the full marathon runners as they continue on to their second round. Numerous spectators will cheer you on as you approach the finish line at the MARITIM HOTEL.
