The Sierre-Zinal race, one of the world’s most famous mountain runs, takes place annually in Valais, Switzerland. The 31 km course from Sierre (585 m) to Zinal (1,685 m) offers views of five 4,000-meter peaks. The record was set by Kilian Jornet in 2024 (2:25:34), with the women’s record by Maude Mathys in 2019 (2:49:20). Part of the Golden Trail World Series, it’s renowned for its challenging course and festive atmosphere in August.
