Fanden früher unzählige Crossläufe für gross und klein statt, gingen diese Veranstaltungen in den letzten Jahren mehr und mehr verloren. Dabei ist ein Crosslauf immer noch das beste Wintertraining eines Läufers. Der Lozärner Cross wird der Kategorie Volksläufe zugeordnet. Jedermann darf lizenzfrei teilnehmen, der Spass und die persönlichen Ziele stehen im Vordergrund. Im Angebot stehen je nach Alter Distanzen zwischen 1000m und 6000m.
