The marathon distance (42,195 meters) has been measured and certified by the World Athletics Association (“World Athletics”). The event is also a member of the International Association of Marathons and Distance Races (“AIMS”) and has been incorporated into its calendar of sporting events since 2023. In addition, the Santiago Marathon is part of the ranking program of the six most important marathons in the world, called “The Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group. In the Santiago Marathon you can run 10K, 21K or 42K. The Santiago Marathon will start at the O’Higgins Park ellipse.
