The Paris half-marathon takes you past several important landmarks like the Place de la Bastille and Hôtel de Ville and run a few kilometres by the River Seine. More than half of this relatively flat course takes you through and around the largest park in the city, the Bois de Vincennes, created in the 19th century by Emperor Napoleon III.
