This is a traditional citizen marathon that started in 1967 as a popular marathon that anyone can participate in, with the goal of "spreading and strengthening the marathon" and with the slogan "Let's run with Kokichi Tsuburaya," a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics. This course consists of two parts: 30km and 10km (both Japan Land official courses), allowing you to fully enjoy Omeji in early spring. The race is open to the general public and includes runners who are active in the Olympics and Hakone Ekiden, making it a popular race that attracts participants from all over the country.
