Der Lange-Lange-Bahn-Lauf als der "Klassiker vor dem Rennsteiglauf" ist eine traditionelle Laufsportveranstaltung durch den Kleinen Thüringer Wald. Angeboten werden Laufstrecken über 5, 11, 22 und 34 Kilometer, (Nordic) Walking und Wandern. Der Bambini-Hindernis-Parcours, Kinder-, Schüler- und Jugendläufe sowie eine Mixed-Staffel der Vereine runden das Programm ab.
Zum Rahmenprogramm gehört u.a. eine Hüpfburg für die Kleinen und „Schießen für Jedermann“ (verantwortlich Schießsportzentrum SSZ GmbH).
